GIVE WITH THE AZ TAX CREDIT

There are two tax credit eligible ministries in Young Life. Capernaum, our ministry to teens and young adults with disabilities, and YoungLives, our ministry to teen parents, both rely on tax credit donations to provide opportunities for kids to hear about the love of Jesus through relationships with leaders, regular club activities and camping opportunities.

Capernaum and YoungLives are Arizona Qualifying Charitable Organizations(QCO) and contributions to these ministries are eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit (formerly known as the Working Poor Tax Credit). You can make a contribution to one of these ministries and lower your Arizona tax liability. This tax credit is separate from the Foster Care tax credit and separate from the school tax credits. They all have their own individual credit limits. A taxpayer may make contributions to all of the eligible types of tax credits if they desire.

The maximum QCO credit donation amount for 2023:
$421 single, married filing separate or head of household; $841 married filing joint.

The maximum QCO credit donation amount for 2024:
$470 single, married filing separate or head of household; $938 married filing joint.

Please Note: Arizona law allows QCO donations made during 2023 or donations made from January 1, 2024 through April 15, 2024 to be claimed on the 2023 Arizona income tax return.  The maximum credit that can be claimed on the 2023 Arizona return for donations made to QCO's is $421 for single, married filing separate or head of household taxpayers, and $841 for married filing joint taxpayers.  If a taxpayer makes a QCO donation from January 1, 2024 through April 15, 2024 and wants to claim the higher 2024 maximum credit amount, the taxpayer will need to claim the credit on the 2024 Arizona return filed in 2025.

The Arizona QCO Code for Capernaum is 20894. The Arizona QCO Code for YoungLives is 20685.
